Villani Cooked Ham with Truffle is a premium cooked ham produced in Castelnuovo Rangone, Modena, from the meat of carefully selected medium-heavy pigs. The deboning process follows a method similar to that used for Culatello — meticulous and precise, removing the shank and outer sections to leave only the core of the ham. The meat is then bathed in a sweet brine infused with summer truffle, with additional truffle placed directly inside the ham before cooking — a technique that distributes the truffle character through the full depth of each slice. The result is a uniform pinkish cooked ham with small, clearly visible pieces of summer truffle and a flavour that is soft and delicate with a genuinely distinctive truffle aftertaste.
