Garofalo Spaghettone is an extra-thick long pasta made from 100% durum wheat semolina, produced in Gragnano, Italy under IGP (Protected Geographical Indication) certification. At approximately 2.5mm in diameter — significantly wider than standard spaghetti — Spaghettone Gragnanese XXL is an original creation of the Garofalo pasta factory, developed to bring greater substance and presence to long pasta formats. Where standard spaghetti yields to lighter sauces, Spaghettone is built for condiments of rich, bold flavour.
Bronze-die cut with exceptional structural integrity. Extruded through traditional bronze dies, the surface of each piece is naturally rough and porous, giving sauces something to grip along the full length of the strand. The greater diameter demands a longer cooking time of 16 minutes, but the high-quality durum wheat ensures the pasta maintains optimal resistance throughout — arriving at the table firm and well-structured without softening.
